MY REVIEW ON ‘THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA’

            In this Novella, Hemingway tells about struggle of Santiago. He has depicted the picture of Santiago as poor and unlucky fisherman. All the dialogues of the novella are simple but symbolic. He has gone in search of fish for his pride or shut the mouth of other fisherman because, other fisherman of that village blame that he is not expert in his work. So, we can say that 84 days are inspiration for him.

            Manolin said that ‘I will become your luck.’ But his father don’t like that, his boy goes with unlucky person. Through this dialogue he picturised our social and cultural condition that if we do something our social customs don’t give us permission. In the middle of the sea, he pulls the fish but he never loss the mental power and start dreaming about his past life when he was young or strong. Even the dream of lion gives him confidence and make him sure that ‘you can do this old man.’

           Sharks as symbol of loss, when we do hard work at that time many sharks (human beings) will come and tried to break down our thoughts. So, we can say that it is totally symbolic.          

                                                                    BREATH

                 The word Breath is closely connected to us and with Author also.Breath is given by God and it has been taken by God when our death day come.After showing the clip on the play of Becket’s ‘Breath’.I showed many things which was set up on the table like paper,moniter,keyboard,glucose bottle,ashtray and cigarette.Through this Becket gives the picture of our life that now a days in the era of technology,people lives very bed life.Everybody dependes on the technology,they never used their mind.This thing was presented by the moniter and key-board which was not connected.In this era,people have so many bad habit like smoking.Whenever we say anything about their bad habit  that it is very harmful for their life.They answeredus that no…..it is very energetic,it is good,I never live without it.So for them all those things are like the God.This wasvery symbolically picturised through the ‘SWASTIK’ which was made by cigarette.

                           Through the video clip of ‘BREATH’ I think that we are the puppet of the ‘GOD’.

My views on Breath

How far an institute should be rated as better or worse from the perspectives of its placement cell

                                  Nowadays ,campus recruitment is being increased in most of the institutions.For example:IINT,DOEACC,Jetking. Most of the students prefer those institutions in which campus recruitment is provided.Through placement,we identify our skill and level.Through placement interview ,it makes sure to us that we are able to work in the very popular company.We reaserch the company and decide the company,we would most like to work.It plays a major role in helping students select appropriate Universities for application.It also works closely with University.In today’s competitive job market,work experience gives graduates something extra.The students develope their skills like communication,time and project management and team working. In the competitive era, this is the bless for those students who are ranker.Becaus, in the recruitment only scholar students are taken for the job.It offers the opportunity to learn new skills.There is one disadvantage of it ,is that they have to pay very few salary rather than their ability.    

what is Literature?

English Literature
All the things which we read and write is literature. If we read any
news paper or any other advertisement is Literature because it gives
us some knowledge. Novel, Drama, all these are fictional Literature.
All Arts are parts of the Literature e.g. if we draw some picture or
Rangoli, it is part of Literature because what we draw is connected
with our thinking and thinking is connected with our culture and
culture is closely connected with Literature. Literature is the best
part of our life. Because it teaches us how to behave, how to write,
how to speak and how to live. I think that everything  which teaches
us something it is Literature.
